April Showers
I woke up to a layer of heavy, wet snow on the ground, that would slowly melt as the morning drizzle washed it away. It was cold - too cold for April - and the sky was overcast and dreary all day. I’m in a constant battle with Michigan’s weather, and it almost got the best of me today.
After a failed photo shoot early in the day, I took Rocky out for a ride and we braved the cold, damp conditions for a quick walk at Willow Metropark. We were both trying to make it work, but we seemed to give up in unison, running back to the warmth and comfort of my FJ Cruiser. I dried him off, cranked up the heat, and held my hands up to the vents to thaw them out before heading home.
By afternoon, the dreary skies had me down in the dumps. I’m solar powered and my mood tends to match what’s going on in the sky. But I hate to let the weather win like this, so I pushed myself to try again and got ready for another photo shoot in the inclement weather.
Today’s photos are evidence of the power of pushing back, of staying focused on a goal, and of trying one more time. I love how these shots capture my vibration, which was all about taking charge and standing up to the elements.
